Large-cap indexes see modest gains

Large-cap equity indexes closed slightly higher yesterday amid rising bond prices and a sharp commodity selloff.

The gains were led by the Nasdaq 100, which was up 6.65 points, or 0.23 percent, to 2864.03.

The S&P 500 added 1.73 points, or 0.12 percent, to finish at 1461.05.

The small-cap Russell 2000 slipped 0.85 points, or 0.10 percent, to close at 856.08.

S&P 500
Resistance is now 1464, followed by 1464.15 (yesterday's high), 1466, and 1468.
Support is now 1460.50, followed by 1458.50, 1456, and 1452.
Nasdaq 100
Resistance is now 2866.23, followed by 2871.10 (yesterday's high), 2875, and 2880.
Support is now 2862.61, followed by 2860, 2855, and 2850.32.
Russell 2000
Resistance is now 857, followed by 858.77, 860, and 863.90.
Support is now 855, followed by 854.18, 851.70, and 850.
