Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Intel (INTC): An investor bought 43,000 August 28 calls for $0.47, looking for upside in the semiconductor stock. It was the largest single block to trade so far today. INTC rose 1.94 percent to $26.24. (See related story )
Facebook (FB): More than 3,000 July 32 puts were bought for $3.70 as investors look for the social-networking stock to push lower. Today is the company's first day of option trading. FB declined 5.42 percent to $30.18. (See related story )
Oracle (ORCL): More than 10,000 June 27 calls for $0.49 to $0.56, positioning for the shares to move higher. ORCL rose 2.01 percent to $26.67. (See related story )
Gap (GPS): More than 6,300 June 28 calls were bought for about $0.53 and an equal number of July 31 calls were sold for $0.19. Known as a diagonal spread, the strategy will leverage a move to $31. GPS rose 0.92 percent to $27.41.
United Rentals (URI): An even 5,000 June 30 puts were bought for $0.50, but volume was below open interest in the strike. URI rose 3.11 percent to $37.80.
