Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
KeyCorp (KEY): Almost 25,000 July 8 calls were purchased for $0.07 as investors look for upside in the share price. KEY rose 0.56 percent to $7.19. (See related story )
Williams (WMB): Large blocks of 21,000 contracts each traded in the June 26 puts, the June 32 puts and the July 32 puts. It appears than an existing credit spread was closed in June and rolled forward by one month as a trader waits for the stock to move above $32. WMB fell 0.34 percent to $29.36.
Tenet Healthcare (THC): Investors bought more than 14,000 July 5 calls for $0.30, looking for upside in the shares to rise. THC rose 1.52 percent to $4.68.
Qualcomm (QCOM): About 5,000 October 65 calls were purchased for $1.51, but volume was below open interest in the strike. QCOM fell 2.44 percent to $57.50.
Intel (INTC): More than 9,000 July 26 puts traded, mostly for $0.57 to $0.64, but volume was below open interest in the strike. INTC rose 0.87 percent to $26.77.
