Largest option buying in equities so far


Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): Some 39,000 January 15 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.31, as investors look for upside in the share price. BAC rose 1.70 percent to $12.28.

JDS Uniphase (JDSU): More than 9,000 May 13 puts were bought, mostly for $0.63, as investors brace for downside in the fiber-optic company. JDSU rose 2.04 percent to $13.18.

National Bank of Greece (NBG): More than 20,000 May 0.50 calls were bought for $0.25 as investors look for the beaten-down European lender to rebound. NBG rose 1.60 percent to $0.76.

Juniper Networks (:JNPR): More than 12,000 May 17 puts were bought, but volume was below open interest at the strike. The largest blocks fetched $1.24 and $1.47. JNPR fell 9.39 percent to $15.73.
