Bank of America (BAC): Almost 12,000 October 10 calls were bought for $0.04 as investors look for upside in the share price. BAC rose 1.75 percent to $8.14.
Vivus (VVUS): Volume surged in the January 2014 20 puts and the January 2014 45 calls, but volume was below open interest at both strikes. VVUS fell 4.40 percent to $29.85.
Hewlett-Packard (HPQ): More than 7,000 November 19 puts were purchased for $1 as investors look for downside before the computer maker's earnings report on Wednesday afternoon. HPQ rose 1.65 percent to $19.84.
Wells Fargo (WFC): A block of 3,000 October 35 calls was purchased for $0.80, but volume was far below open interest at the strike. WFC rose 0.15 percent to $34.08.
