Amarin (AMRN): An investor bought 13,150 January 18 calls for $1.55 and sold a matching number of January 25 calls for $0.40. Known as a bullish call spread, the trade cost $1.15 and will earn a maximum profit of about 500 percent if the stock rallies to $25 by expiration. AMRN fell 9.12 percent to $11.53.
McMoRan Exploration (MMR): An investor bought about 7,000 August 17 calls for $0.03 and sold a similar number at the September 17 strike. Volume was below open interest in the August contracts, indicating that a short position in the calls was rolled forward by one month. MMR fell 3.77 percent to $13.29.
Morgan Stanley (MS): A block of 15,000 October 13 puts was bought for $0.90 as investors position for downside in the share price. MS rose 1.04 percent to $13.65.
Ford Motor (F): More than 8,000 weekly 10 calls expiring this Friday traded for $0.01, as the investors look for a rally in the near term. F rose 1.87 percent to $9.27.
