Microsoft (MSFT): More than 60,000 January 35 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.25 to $0.27, as investors look for the software giant to push higher. MSFT rose 2.19 percent to $29.83.
Citigroup (C): Investors bought 37,500 September 35 calls for $0.04. While bullish, volume was below open interest at the strike. C rose 4.89 percent to $27.46.
Royal Caribbean (RCL): About 8,700 September 26 calls were purchased, mostly for $1.08. Volume was more than 5 times open interest in the strike. RCL rose 4.75 percent to $25.57.
Archer-Daniels Midland (ADM): Volume surged in the August 27 puts and the August 26 puts as an investor rolled a bearish position lower. The move follows a drop in the share price over the last week. ADM rose 1.39 percent to $25.48.
