Largest option buying in equities so far


Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

HomeAway (AWAY): More than 6,200 October 35 calls were bought, mostly for $1.25, as investors position for upside in the time-share company. AWAY rose 4.53 percent to $31.61.

Morgan Stanley (MS): Some 11,000 January 20 puts were bought, mostly for $1.02, but volume was below open interest at the strike. MS rose 2.25 percent to $24.95.

Qualcomm (QCOM): Some 15,000 August 55 puts were bought for $0.50 and an equal number of August 67.50 calls were sold for $0.31. Known as a collar, the trade cost $0.19 and will profit from downside in the semiconductor company. QCOM rose 1.59 percent to $60.84. (See related story )
