Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Aegerion Pharmaceuticals (AEGR): An investor rolled a winning position in the Jun 50 calls forward to the July 55s, increasing the size from 3,850 contracts to 5,250 contracts. AEGR fell 2.20 percent to $60.76.
Ultra Petroleum (UPL): Some 30,000 June 25 puts were bought for $4 against open interest and a matching number of September 25 puts were sold for $4.42. They apparently had written the Junes short to earn income and now rolled the position forward in time to avoid being assigned shares at expiration tomorrow. UPL fell 3.13 percent to $21.05.
Gol Linhas Aereas Inteligentes (GOL): A block of 10,000 January 4 calls was purchased for $0.45. Volume was below open interest, so investors may have exited a short position in the calls. GOL, a Brazilian airline, fell 9.97 percent to 3.30.
