Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Citigroup (NYSE:C): Some 12,000 June 38 calls were bought, most of which priced for $1.04, as investors look for upside in the stock. C fell 3.85 percent to $34.97.
SandDisk (NasdaqGS:SNDK): More than 10,000 contracts traded in the January 50 calls against open interest of 13,255 contracts. A single purchase of more than 8,000 for $4.60 dominated the activity. SNDK fell 9.49 percent to $45.30.
McMoRan Exploration (NYSE:MMR): Some 15,000 April 12 puts were sold for $2.01 and an equal number of April 10 puts were bought for $0.66. Volume was below open interest at both strikes, indicating that a bearish put spread was closed. MMR fell 1.93 percent to $10.16.
Bank of America (NYSE:BAC): More than 23,000 April 9 puts were bought, mostly for $0.04 and $0.05, as investors look for a pullback in the near term. BAC fell 3.18 percent to $9.19.
