Largest option buying in equities so far

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Bank of America (BAC): About 55,000 May 7 puts traded, mostly for $0.10, as investors seek protection on the stock. BAC fell 1.20 percent to $8.26.

Barnes & Noble (BKS): An investor bought the July 15 calls for4 $0.65 and sold an equal number of January 20 calls for $0.60. Known as a diagonal spread, it will leverage a finite move in the stock. BKS rose 6.17 percent to $12.04.

Chesapeake (CHK): Some 14,000 contracts traded in the weekly 18 calls, which expire this Friday. Most of the large blocks priced for $0.32 to $0.45, and investors are looking for upside in the stock. CHK rose 1.78 percent to $17.75.
