Largest option buying in equities so far


Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Noble (NE): An investor bought 24,000 September 38 calls for $3.15 and sold 36,000 September 45 calls for $0.97. Known as a ratio spread, the trade will leverage a rally to $45. NE fell 1 percent to $37.55.

EMC (EMC): Some 12,600 July 23 calls were bought, mostly for $1.29, as investors position for upside in the share price. EMC fell 0.90 percent to $23.02.

Yahoo (YHOO): Some 14,600 June 26 calls were bought, mostly for $0.62 and $0.63, as investors look for the Internet stock to keep climbing. YHOO rose 0.95 percent to $24.43.

NII Holdings (:NIHD): Some 10,000 September 6 puts were bought for $0.80 and an equal number of September 4 puts were sold for $0.20. The trade cost $0.40 and will earn a maximum profit of 400 percent if the stock closes at or below $4 on expiration. NIHD fell 2.50 percent to $7.21.
