Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Peregrine Pharmaceuticals (PPHM): Some 20,000 April 2.50 calls were purchased for $0.15 to $0.20 as investors position for potential upside in the share price. PPHM rose 1.08 percent to $1.86.
Vodafone (VOD): An investor sold 10,000 July 23 puts for $0.69 and bought an equal number of July 27 calls for $0.55. The trade generated a credit of $0.14 and is similar to owning shares in the global telecom giant. VOD fell 2.74 percent to $25.24.
Morgan Stanley (MS): Some 15,000 January 20 puts were bought for $1.24 as investors hedge against a potential decline in the share price. MS rose 1.14 percent to $24.14.
