Constellation Brands (:STZ): An investor bought 30,000 February 37.50 calls for $0.80 and sold a matching number of February 42.50 calls for $0.05. Known as a bullish call spread, the trade cost $0.75 and will earn of a profit of more than 550 percent if the beverage stock closes at or above $42.50 on expiration. STZ fell 1.63 percent to $35.05.
Groupon (GRPN): Volume surged in the April 4.50 calls and the April 5.50 calls. Volume was below open interest in the 4.50s, indicating that an existing position was rolled to the higher strike. GRPN rose 0.75 percent to $5.39.
Ford Motor (F): Some 5,900 January 14.50 calls were bought for $0.04 as investors look for a quick rally by the end of this week. F is down 0.50 percent to $13.93.
JP Morgan (JPM): A block of 4,981 January 32 puts was bought for $0.01. Volume was below open interest, which suggests that an existing short position was closed profitably. JPM fell 0.59 percent to $45.87.
