Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Citigroup (NYSE:C): More than 16,000 March 35 calls were bought for $0.28 as investors looked for upside in the share price. C fell 0.95 percent to $29.05.
Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC): More than 17,000 January 30 calls were purchased for $0.20, apparently the result for previous positions getting closed before expiration. WFC is unchanged at $30.15.
AT&T (NYSE:T): More than 10,000 March 32 calls were bought for $0.19 as investors look for upside in the stock. T fell 0.16 percent to $30.37.
Qualcomm (NasdaqGS:QCOM): A block of 10,000 April 47 puts was bought for $0.57 and an equal number of April 62.50 calls were sold for $1.10. The strategy will profit from downside in the shares, and is probably being used as a hedge on a long position in the name. QCOM fell 0.22 percent to $57.87.
Bank of America (NYSE:BAC): Investors sold the March 7 calls for $0.46 and $0.48. Volume was below open interest, so they may have been taking profits following the stock's recent run. BAC fell 1.01 percent to $6.89.
