Bank of America (NYSE:BAC): Investors bought more than 7,000 January 2013 12.50 calls, most of which priced for $0.19, looking for upside in the shares. BAC rose 0.14 percent to $7.31.
Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT): About 3,900 May 90 puts were purchased, most of which priced for $1.66, as investors look to protect against downside in the stock price. CAT is down 0.69 percent to $110.54.
Jaguar Mining (NYSE:JAG): An investor bought 5,000 June 8 calls for $0.80 and sold an equal number of June 10 calls for $0.15. The trade cost $0.65 and can earn a maximum profit of 200 percent if the stock closes above $10 on expiration. JAG rose 2.37 percent to $7.33.
Exterran (NYSE:EXH): More than 5,000 May 7.50 puts were bought, mostly for $0.80, as investors looked for downside in the shares. EXH rose 1.91 percent to $9.06.
