Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Bank of America (BAC): Investors sold more than 65,000 January 12.50 calls against open interest, taking profits on winning positions. BAC rose 3.19 percent to $11.98.
Western Digital (WDC): An investor sold about 4,000 January 44 calls for $1.14 against open interest and bought 8,000 January 46s bought for $0.47. It appears they closed an existing position and rolled it to the higher strike, doubling the number of contracts in the process. The trade is highly bullish and sees the stock going over $46. WDC rose 1.65 percent to $43.19.
Ford Motor (F): Investors bought more than 9,000 February 13 calls, looking for continued upside in the automaker. F rose 1.04 percent to $13.09
Symantec (SYMC): Some 7,000 January 2014 18 calls were purchased for $3.20 to $3.30 as an investor positions for a rally this year. SYMC rose 2.39 percent to $19.27.
