Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
ConAgra (CAG): More than 5,000 March 32 calls were bought, with the largest block pricing for $0.85, as investors keep looking for the food stock to bounce. CAG rose 0.43 percent to $30.50. (See related story )
International Paper (IP): An investor bought 15,000 January 45 calls for $1.83 and sold 60,000 January 50 calls for $0.51. The ratio spread paid them a small credit and will leverage a move up to $50. IP fell 0.53 percent to $43.47.
Veeco Instruments (VECO): Some 3,790 November 37 puts were bought for $1.90 and a matching number of November 33 puts was bought for $0.55. The spread cost $1.35 and will earn a profit of 196 percent if the stock falls to $33 or lower by expiration. VECO fell 0.58 percent to $37.86.(See related story )
