Largest option trades in equities

Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Vale (VALE): An investor sold 22,556 September 17 calls for $0.20 and bought 30,000 October 18 calls for $0.24, rolling a bullish position forward in time and increasing its size in hope the stock will continue to climb. VALE fell 1.90 percent to $16.49. (See related story )

Coca-Cola (KO): An investor bought 13,200 November 40 calls for $0.36, but sold a large number of shares at the same time. Known as a delta-neutral trade, the strategy will benefit from increased volatility rather than higher share prices. KO fell 0.05 percent to $38.61.

Microsoft (MSFT): More than 21,000 September 35 calls were bought, mostly for $0.06 and $0.07 as investors look for more upside in the software maker. MSFT rose 1.61 percent to $32.91.
