Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.
Williams (WMB): More than 10,500 1-November 36 calls were bought, mostly for $0.86 in big size as investors look for the pipeline stock to rally before the end of the month. WMB rose 1.01 percent to $35.89.
Masco (MAS): An investor sold 4,000 January 14 puts for $0.11 and bought a similar number of January 17 puts for $0.66. He or she may have rolled an existing position, but probably opened a new bearish put spread to protect against a weak earnings on Oct. 28. MAS fell 1.76 percent to $19.48.
Manitowoc (MTW): A block of 2,000 March 19 puts was sold for $2.20 as an investor looked for the stock to hold its ground into next spring. MTW fell 0.50 percent to $18.71.
