Fusion-io (FIO): An investor bought 12,500 March 18 calls in the small-cap tech stock for $$1.60 against open interest of just 441 contracts, looking for upside in the shares. FIO declined 1.02 percent to $14.49.
Facebook (FB): More than 16,000 September 46 calls were purchased, with the largest blocks fetching $0.76 and $0.78, as investors look for the social-media stock to keep climbing. FB rose 0.44 percent to $45.24.
Bank of America (BAC): Some 9,000 October 15 calls were purchased, mostly for $0.29, but volume was well below open interest at the strike. BAC fell 0.68 percent to $14.55.
