The healthcare insurance law will eventually reduce by 50% the amount of money that hospitals receive from the federal government to reimburse them for treating uninsured people, according to The New York Times. While the law is supposed to provide insurance for many more Americans, it makes no attempt to provide coverage for illegal immigrants, the newspaper points out.
