LED Medical Diagnostics Signs Exclusive Canadian Distribution Agreement With Samsung's Ray Co. and Receives Health Canada Approval for Panoramic, Cephalometric and Intraoral Capabilities

Health Canada's Approval for RAYSCAN's Cone Beam Computed Tomography Expected Later This Year

BURNABY, BC--(Marketwired - December 08, 2014) - LED Medical Diagnostics Inc. (TSX VENTURE: LMD) (LEDIF) (LME.F) ("LED Medical" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that, as of December 5, 2014, LED Dental Inc., ("LED Dental"), the wholly-owned Canadian operating subsidiary of LED Medical, has signed an exclusive one-year distribution agreement with Ray Co., Ltd. ("Ray Co."), a subsidiary of Samsung, to market the RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert dental imaging system and the RIOSensor intraoral sensor in Canada. The RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert is a multi-function digital extraoral imaging system with 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) as well as panoramic and cephalometric capabilities. In April, the RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert dental imaging system became the first product to be added to LED Dental's product portfolio since the Company announced its expansion into the dental imaging category and emergent product offerings.

The RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert's 3D images are captured using an optimal field of view, which is ideal for a wide variety of clinical applications. The system's CMOS and direct deposition cesium iodide (CsI) detector ensure practitioners can quickly capture high-quality, 16-bit DICOM images. To minimize error from patient positioning and movement, the system's focal trough is stabilized and controlled through Adaptive Moving Focus technology. The RAYSCAN Alpha's exclusive denoising technology enhances image quality by removing noise that would otherwise blur the image. Given its sleek design, the RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert can fit into nearly any practice floor plan. The system's height adjustment component means patients of all sizes, including those in wheelchairs, can fit comfortably in the unit. The RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert is also the world's first imaging system to utilize a wireless remote control for patient positioning. LED lights indicate the status of the unit to practitioners at a glance: ready, standby, exposure and emergency. These components led to the RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert receiving both the red dot design award and International Design Excellence Bronze Award for its effective product design. In addition to the RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert's advanced imaging capabilities and unique design, the system also features an intuitive user interface to streamline the capture process and simplify the manipulation of images.

Health Canada recently approved the RIOSensor and also RAYSCAN's Alpha Panoramic and Cephalometric capabilities and is expected to approve RAYSCAN's cone beam computed tomography before the end of the year.

The RIOSensor, a high speed intraoral digital radiography system, will be the first offering in a range of additional product lines that LED Medical will distribute as part of the distribution agreement with Ray Co. The RIOSensor, is offered in two sizes and delivers high resolution intraoral x-ray images with resolution up to 25 lp/mm.

"We are very pleased to have negotiated an exclusive distribution agreement for Canada with Ray Co. for the RIOSensor and RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert" stated CEO Dr. David Gane. "This means that we now have distribution rights to Canada and the United States, the largest digital imaging technology market in the world. This marks yet another step for LED Medical in becoming a leading player in the digital dental imaging technology market".

"We are delighted to partner with LED Medical Diagnostics in Canada, as we already have in the U.S." stated Dr. Sangchul Lee, CEO of Ray Co. "We are confident that the superior technology of the RAYSCAN Alpha - Expert and its impressive imaging capabilities will enable it to easily take on the competition and emerge as the North American market leader".
