Eli Lilly's (LLY) erectile dysfunction treatment Cialis has shown promise in treating Becker muscular dystrophy in a small study, The Wall Street Journal reported last night. If the promise suggested by the initial human study continues in further research, it may present a potential new approach for the more common form of the disease, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, or DMD, the report noted. The Fly notes that Sarepta (SRPT) is developing a treatment for DMD.
