NEW YORK (AP) -- Amtrak says it's not offering express service between New York and Boston due to power problems following last week's outage on the Metro-North Railroad.
Amtrak says there is no Acela Express service on Sunday between New York and Boston. It says it is providing service to the northeast by using additional diesel trains.
The railroad warned passengers to expect delays of up to 90 minutes because the diesel trains run more slowly than electric ones.
Amtrak says express service between New York and Washington D.C. is operating normally.
Amtrak says it will determine Monday whether it can restore full Acela Express service. It says passengers who paid for express tickets can get refunded or a voucher for future travel.
