Littelfuse, Inc., the global leader in circuit protection, today announced it ranked twelfth out of 25 companies in the 2013 Best Places to Work in Illinois Large Employer Category. This is the second consecutive year Littelfuse earned distinction in the awards program, designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Illinois. The program is promoted by The Daily Herald Business Ledger in partnership with the Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce and the Workforce Boards of Metropolitan Chicago, and managed by Best Companies Group.
“Earning a high ranking for the second year in a row in the Best Places to Work in Illinois program is truly something to be proud of,” said Gordon Hunter, Chief Executive Officer of Littelfuse. “This excellent recognition is a testament to our continuous efforts to offer associates a great place to work. Our achievements as a company are a direct result of the talents and dedication of our associates and we are grateful for their contributions. Their feedback is proof that our commitment to supporting their growth and happiness has been successful and we plan to maintain an environment where our associates can thrive. ”
Littelfuse was recognized and honored at the Best Places to Work in Illinois awards ceremony on May 16, coordinated by The Daily Herald Business Ledger. Holly Stanton, Human Resources Director, Global Talent and Americas for Littelfuse, accepted the award on the company’s behalf. Littelfuse will also be profiled in a special publication by The Daily Herald Business Ledger on June 24.
The Best Places to Work in Illinois ranking was determined by a two-part process. The first part consisted of evaluating workplace policies, practices and demographics, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience, worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. Best Companies Group managed the process, analyzed the data and used its expertise to determine the final rankings.
