PR Newswire

ATLANTA, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/-- The LOMA Secure Retirement Institute today announced the recent launch of the third course of the Fellow, Secure Retirement Institute™ (FSRI™) designation program, Planning for a Secure Retirement (SRI 131).

"Planning for a Secure Retirement introduces the retirement planning process, describes the primary components of a comprehensive retirement plan, and identifies tools that help individuals create a retirement plan," said Katherine C. Milligan, FLMI, ACS, senior vice president of LOMA's Education and Training Division.

With the addition of this new course, the first level of the FSRI Program is now complete; candidates who earn credit for all three courses will be awarded the LOMA Secure Retirement Institute™ Certificate in Retirement Essentials.

Like the first two courses in the FSRI program, Planning for a Secure Retirement is delivered in a self-paced online format featuring video scenarios and a variety of highly interactive learning features. Participants can complete each contemporary, on-demand course in 7 to 10 hours, a convenient benefit that adds flexibility for the learner.

The program, which is specifically designed for employees who support retirement plans and products in companies serving the retirement marketplace, is already being used by more than 125 organizations across the retirement marketplace.

"We continue to receive excellent feedback on both the broad-based content and the innovative delivery of the FSRI program curriculum," noted Milligan.  "With the launch of Planning for a Secure Retirement, companies now can use the full certificate level curriculum as a first step in developing professionals who are engaged and empowered to deliver effective service and solutions to customers."
