OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
In this episode of A.M. BestTV, Bernie Heinze, the executive director of the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA), discusses a meeting that the leadership of his organization recently had with the leadership of Lloyd’s. Heinze said that the group is coordinating with Lloyd's to avoid redundant compliance requirements as regulatory shifts originating in the United Kingdom occur. Heinze also talks about how regulation is impacting his membership on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, adding that the association is spending a lot of time educating the U.K.'s Financial Conduct Authority, which regulates insurance companies, on how distribution differs in the United States. The AAMGA is a professional trade association that has been in existence since 1926, representing members of the wholesale insurance community and marketplace. Andrew Tobin, who works in the global insurance department at Cozen O’Connor’s London office, also discusses London Market dynamics when it comes to placing fronted facultative reinsurance.
