SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 6, 2009 -- Macworld Conference and Expo
NEWS FACTS:
mDialog, a company committed to delivering high-resolution social video, announced a new version of the mDialog iPhone Application, which is now available in the Apple App Store. In addition to enabling the viewing and sharing of high resolution (MPEG-4 h.264) video on the iPhone and iPod touch, the latest version of the native application includes new Places and Socialize features.
Places Features
Using the Places feature, iPhone owners can browse and view videos based on their geo-proximity. Members can simply log into their mDialog.com account and add "geotags" to their videos. Once a video has been geo-tagged, the mDialog iPhone app uses the iPhone's GPS technology to determine the proximity of videos relative to the iPhone. This enables viewers to locate -- and content creators to share -- video content that is relevant to their current location.
Socialize Features
The Socialize section allows users to access and control mDialog's social video features directly from the iPhone. Specifically, it enables users to:
-- Take surveys, enter contests, rank videos and vote for favorite videos
-- Privately share interactive videos with friends and colleagues, similar to MMS, only better
-- Invite friends and accept invitations from friends to view videos from your iPhone
-- Email video links to a friend
mDialog currently has enhanced interactive features around some of its exclusive programming, which can be accessed through the new iPhone app. These features include:
-- Watch episodes of mDialog's original reality cooking series "Cooking To Get Lucky," (http://www.marketwire.com/press-release/Mdialog-899820.html) which is hosted by Emmy Award-winning actress, Eden Riegel, and reality television star, Bob Guiney. Also, get access to exclusive "Cooking to Get Lucky" recipes.
-- Watch and interact with shows like "French Maid TV" and the medical crime spoof, "CopDoc."
In addition to the above new features, mDialog is also introducing several usability enhancements which include:
-- My Network: The My Network feature lets users view all their videos as well as their channels in one convenient location.
-- Expanded channel and video descriptions, clicking the info icon presents the full description for channels and videos.
The mDialog iPhone app complements the Company's full set of iPhone capabilities, which enable socialization and monetization of video on the iPhone. mDialog's technology enhances the experience for content producers, advertisers and viewers, taking video on the iPhone beyond simple viewing.
