Ashley: My main concern as a finance person is if they have actually sat down and planned to stay within the country's budget. I don't think presidents understand that paying other countries to use their money is extremely costly. As a responsible adult, I have to work within my budget and plan for the good things I want later. Both candidates are wanting to do relatively nice things for the people, but they can't because adding more debt actually hurts us. We would have a huge portion of funds (200+ billion) to use if it wasn't going towards loan interests. Just see it this way... If you loaned someone money, but then you see them spending it on extravagant new clothes and vacations AND THEN they ask you for more money, how would you feel? At first you'll think, "Okay, no problem. I am banking in all this interest." But after a bit you'll get worried. "Dude... can you really pay all this back? I am not so confident anymore about that." Side note: U.S. credit rating has decreased.
