Retailers are prepping their promos for the upcoming Black Friday rush, and they're slowing leaking out to the public.
"It’s a full 52 pages and remarkable in that it’s utterly unremarkable," writes Laura Heller at Forbes. "There are sale items sure, but there’s precious little to indicate the aggressive discounting seen at the height of the recession."
And that's why it's a sign of optimism.
Over the past few years during the recession, retailers were bombarding customers with huge doorbusters to get them into stores.
