Magazines Canada and Marketwire Announce Official Wire Sponsorship

TORONTO--(Marketwire - Mar 7, 2013) - Magazines Canada and Marketwire are pleased to announce a new partnership that will help disseminate news and information about Canada's vibrant magazine media to news outlets across the country.

As Magazines Canada's official wire sponsor, Marketwire will provide the association with Canadian press release distribution, including multimedia enhancement options, such as photo, video and search engine optimization.

"Magazines Canada has dozens of events, webinars, announcements and other news to share every year. We're definitely looking forward to putting Marketwire's reach and the tools they offer to good use," said Brianne DiAngelo, Magazines Canada's communications manager.

Marketwire will also be part of MagNet 2013, the annual Canadian magazine superconference managed by Magazines Canada. In addition to its exhibition table at the conference Marketplace, Marketwire will provide a Sysomos dashboard to analyze and display all social media traffic related to MagNet, including the conference's official Twitter hashtag, #MagNet13.

"We look forward to supporting MagNet in providing the inspiration and solutions that help attendees adapt to change and advance their businesses," said Bernadette Lee, Marketwire's vice president, global partners and media solutions. "Like Magazines Canada, Marketwire is focused on the future and committed to helping professional communicators stay on top -- and ahead -- of their game."

"The Sysomos dashboard will make it easier for us to keep track of what people are saying about MagNet in social media. It'll also be fun for delegates to see the conversation develop in real time," added DiAngelo.

MagNet is North America's largest magazine conference. Every year, magazine professionals come together to discuss and improve the state of the magazine industry. The conference includes keynotes, seminars and workshops from leaders, thinkers and visionaries.
