Maine home heating oil drops 3 cents a gallon

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) -- A weekly survey has found that average price of home heating oil in Maine has dropped three cents a gallon to $3.66.

The Governor's Energy Office said Thursday that the average price was 19 cents lower than this time last year.

The average kerosene price also fell by three cents, to $4.11 a gallon while propane prices remained the same as last week at an average of $2.75 a gallon.

Around the state, the average price ranged from a high of $3.81 in northern Maine to a low of $3.57 in the southwestern part of the state.
