Mudajaya Group Bhd has set its sights on building andoperating two ultra mega power plant (UMPP) projects with a capacity of 4,000 megawatts (MW) each in India.
The group is looking for a partner -- either from Malaysiaor India -- to form a consortium with its current partner inIndia to bid for the projects.
Currently, Mudajaya is undertaking 1,440MW coal-fired powerplant through its 26 percent associate company, RKM Powergen PvtLtd (RKMP).
Mudajaya group managing director Anto Joseph said the groupand its existing partner in India, RK Power Pvt Ltd, are lookingfor another party to form a consortium and apply for a requestfor qualification (RFQ) document for the UMPP.- The Edge
