Malaysia's Tenaga Q4 net profit plunges on weak ringgit, higher operating costs


KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 31 (Reuters) - Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Malaysia's largest electricity utility, saw netprofit for the fourth quarter ending August plunge to 211.8million ringgit ($67.27 million) from 1.07 billion ringgit($339.84 million) in the corresponsing quarter last year.

The steep fall was due to higher operating costs and aweaker ringgit, state controlled Tenaga said in a statement.
