Mass. gas prices fall 2 cents

Massachusetts gas prices fall 2 cents, yet remain well above the national average

BOSTON (AP) -- The average cost of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts has dropped another two cents.

AAA Southern New England reports Monday that self-serve, regular has fallen in the past week to an average of $3.40 per gallon.

That's 16 cents lower than a month ago, but still 16 cents higher than at the same time last year and 15 cents above the current national average.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $3.22 per gallon and as high as $3.85.
