It was a slow start to the week for U.S. stocks, but gains are gains and after four consecutive weeks of higher finishes, those waiting declines could be waiting a bit longer.

Encouraging for the bulls is where the leadership came from on Monday: An 8.3% gain for the Guggenheim Solar ETF (TAN) is impressive, but at this point, big gains for solar ETFs are almost commonplace. Perhaps more important is the number of materials and equity-based commodities plays that jumped on Monday, confirming the notion that November really is kind to materials ETFs.
