Media Advisory: Chris Hadfield is Getting Ready to Take Commands of ISS

Crew News Conference

LONGUEUIL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire -09/06/12)- Less than three months before Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield takes off on Expedition 34/35, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) invites media representatives to the crew news conference. This press conference will be held at the Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston and will be broadcasted live at CSA's office. Chris Hadfield and his crew members will answer media questions via NASA TV. Only journalists present at CSA will have the opportunity to participate in the question period.

Media representatives who cannot be on site will be able to watch the press conference live on NASA TV.

--  Several time slots have been reserved for phone interviews with Chris
    Hadfield between 3:15 p.m. and 5 p.m. If you want to participate in one
    of those teleconferences, please contact CSA's media relations team to
    reserve a spot.
--  There will be a limited number of opportunities to conduct double-ender
    interviews with Chris Hadfield between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Media who
    confirmed their interest will need to conduct the interview from CSA's
    office. To reserve time for a televised interview, please contact CSA's
    media relations team to reserve a spot.
