Media Advisory: Government of Canada to Announce Support for Oat Marketing Industry


REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Jan 18, 2013) - Tom Lukiwski, Member of Parliament for Regina-Lumsden-Lake Centre, on behalf of the Honourable Lynne Yelich, Minister of State for Western Economic Diversification, will make an announcement to benefit oat producers in Western Canada.

Dallas Valley Ranch Camp is 35 minutes from downtown Regina, 5 km off of Highway 11. 

  • The news conference will be held in the Camp''s indoor riding arena.

  • Please wear appropriate footwear for snow and the sand footing in the indoor riding arena. The arena is heated but may be cooler than usual indoor temperatures.


Travel north on Highway 11 out of Regina.

  • Continue past highway signs for Deer Valley Golf Club, Wascana Trails and Condie Nature Preserve

  • Turn left (west) off of Highway 11 just past Exit B sign and the sign for Dallas Valley Ranch Camp. Once on the grid road, follow signs for Dallas Valley Ranch Camp.

    • Do not follow orange detour sign just off of highway

  • Once at camp entrance, do not turn right to the office; continue straight ahead following brown sign for riding arena. No need to sign in at office.

  • Road will carry around a corner and down a hill to the arena.

  • Park in the flat area just above the arena. Walk down to the right to the arena and proceed to the grey metal entrance door. News conference is in the arena immediately to your right.
