With the annual enrollment period for Medicare starting October 15 and running through December 7, Priority Health is making it even easier for those eligible for Medicare to access high quality and affordable coverage. The company has added 10 new counties to its Medicare service area, expanded its health plan offerings and opened information centers across Michigan’s Lower Peninsula.

“Priority Health’s goal as a health plan is to improve the health and lives of the people we serve,” said Wayne Wilson, vice president of Medicare for Priority Health. “By continuing to grow, we have the opportunity to provide the highest quality health care to those across Michigan who need it and do so at an affordable price.”

Priority Health offers four Medicare Advantage plans, including: PriorityMedicare ValueSM (HMO-POS), PriorityMedicareSM (HMO-POS), PriorityMedicare MeritSM (PPO) and PriorityMedicare SelectSM (PPO). They cover everything that Original Medicare covers plus so much more. New this year - PriorityMedicare Merit now offers richer benefits and starts as low as $27.50 a month.

Each plan varies in price and benefits to align with the needs of members and their budgets. All of the plans offer:

  • $0 in-network deductible
  • $0 prescription deductible
  • Doctor visits and specialist visits (no referrals needed)
  • Coverage in the United States and around the world
  • Dental and hearing coverage
  • A free gym membership
  • More than 23,000 doctors in our network
  • Predictable out-of-pocket costs

Priority Health Medicare Advantage plans are the highest ranked health plans in Michigan and among the top three percent of plans nationwide for quality of care and customer service as reported by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.

“We are proud of the incredible value, personalized service and low premiums we offer through our Medicare Advantage programs. It’s one of the reasons more Medicare eligible individuals choose our plans over any other plan offered in the state,” Wilson added.

Priority Health added 10 counties to its Medicare service area including Alcona, Alpena, Berrien, Huron, Iosco, Lapeer, Oscoda, Montmorency, Presque Isle and Van Buren. Priority Health now serves Michigan’s entire Lower Peninsula. A complete listing of hospitals and providers is available at
