MEMPHIS, TN--(Marketwired - Jul 24, 2014) - Propcellar Vintage Rentals is excited to be moving to a new 10,000 square foot space at 2585 Summer Avenue, directly adjacent to the hot Broad Avenue Arts District. The recently remodeled showcase warehouse will serve as a destination for brides, event planners, and photographers to shop a curated collection of one-of-a-kind, hand-picked antiques and vintage decor perfectly suited for any event. Once completed, the multipurpose space will house Propcellar's full inventory of rentals, as well as a retail store and class space.

Distinguished as the company that brought vintage rentals to the Memphis market, Propcellar is locally founded and Memphis proud. It all started with a colorful couch that founder and owner Karlee Hickman restored. From there, the Propcellar collection quickly grew to feature everything from multiple sets of antique church pews, cool old furniture and architectural pieces, mismatched china and silverware, plus all kinds of vintage decor. The company also boasts an in-house stylist to pull the entire look together, helping clients to achieve a unique and personalized look for any size event.

Hickman moved to Memphis with a background in fashion design and merchandising, interior design, and marketing, and an appreciation for all things vintage and antique. As a lifelong collector, advising clients on their antique selection has been a natural progression for Hickman. Propcellar caters to weddings, parties, photoshoots, fundraisers, and theatre and film productions.

Local designer Natalie Lieberman from Collect + Curate has been enlisted to restore the 1949 brick building that has previously held a glass factory and an electric supply house. Keeping the building's history in mind throughout, the new design revives the space's best original features with modernized enhancements. Memphis-based P & J Construction is doing the buildout.

Hickman specifically chose the Broad Avenue Arts District and Summer Avenue area for what it symbolizes, the celebration and revitalization of Memphis' history. "We're so pleased that we get to contribute to all of the exciting growth happening in Memphis right now. We're not from here, but we choose to make this our home. And we're proud of the city we live in -- Memphis Proud."

A primary focus is to partner with local vendors and organizations, such as ArtsMemphis and Tennessee Shakespeare Company. Working with like-minded, forward-thinking businesses furthers the Memphis market as a whole."

With this grassroots mission in mind, Propcellar has gained national and international attention through wedding blogs and magazines, including Style Me Pretty, Magnolia Rouge, Wedding Paper Divas, among others.

Propcellar Vintage Rentals' showcase warehouse is scheduled to open mid-August of this year. For more information, visit www.propcellar.com or call 901-654-6737.
