Mentor Graphics initiates regular dividend

Mentor Graphics initiates quarterly dividend of 4.5 cents per share

WILSONVILLE, Ore. (AP) -- Mentor Graphics Corp. said Thursday that it will start paying regular dividends.

The company, which makes software and other products for engineers of chips and other products, will pay an annual dividend of 18 cents in quarterly installments. The first dividend of 4.5 cents will be paid April 10 to shareholders of record on March 22.

Mentor shares closed down a penny at $17.05. Over the past 52 weeks, the stock has traded between $12.85 and $17.91.
