Britain's most-loved, Quintessentially English, modern pop act Metronomy -- a creation of singer, writer, producer and expert musician, Joseph Mount -- returns next week after 18 months with comeback single, 'I'm Aquarius' via Elektra Records; in which a short teaser snippet is currently streaming on the band's website, www.metronomy.co.uk.
In a truly innovative development in music premieres, 'I'm Aquarius' will be first available for fans to hear the track via 'The Night Sky' app, which can be download from iOS or Android app store for 99 cents. The app provides a beautiful, magical way of identifying the stars, planets, galaxies, constellations and even satellites in an awe-inspiring visual way. By holding your mobile device up to the sky (even if your view is obscured by clouds) the app creates an enchanting replication, displaying the names of the stars, planets and other objects one can see in the sky.
On Monday, November 11th at 11AM PT / 2PM ET, both new and existing users of 'The Night Sky' app will be prompted to activate an update which will allow users the ability to scan the sky in search for the Aquarius constellation in order to hear the new Metronomy single, "I'm Aquarius," for one week, by clicking on the constellation.
Metronomy's latest LP, 'The English Riviera' (Because Music / Big Beat Records) became one of the most critically acclaimed albums of 2011. Joseph Mount went on to sell out huge UK and worldwide tours and racked up 250,000 sales worldwide.
