Mexico gov't prepared to adjust parts of tax overhaul plan


MEXICO CITY, Oct 9 (Reuters) - Mexico's government iswilling to adjust parts of a proposed tax overhaul that aims toboost the country's poor tax take by revising unpopular levieson schooling and mortgages, the head of the ruling InstitutionalRevolutionary Party (PRI) said on Wednesday.

President Enrique Pena Nieto aims to raise Mexico's anemictax take by around $35 billion by 2018 as part of a widereconomic reform agenda that aims to boost economic growth.
