Mexico stocks surge by most in 1-3/4 years

MEXICO CITY, Oct 1 (Reuters) - Mexican stocks rose sharply on Tuesday, bouncing back from three straight losing sessions, to rise by the most since late 2011.

The IPC stock index climbed 2.86 percent to 41,335.27 in its biggest one-day percentage jump since Nov. 30, 2011.
