Apple Inc. rose $12.29 or 2.6 percent, to $489.04.
Dell Inc. rose $.08 or .6 percent, to $13.83.
Hewlett Packard Co. rose $.27 or 1.3 percent, to $21.26.
International Business Machines Corp. rose $1.18 or .6 percent, to $186.36.
Lexmark International Inc. rose $.34 or 1.0 percent, to $33.34.
