Amphenol fell $.42 or .8 percent, to $54.73.

Avnet fell $.43 or 1.2 percent, to $35.59.

Emerson Electric Co. fell $1.47 or 2.8 percent, to $51.33.

Thomas & Betts Corp. fell $.05 or .1 percent, to $71.90.
