The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (:SPY) has 424,000 options trading, with 266,000 puts. Next up is volume of 290,000 in the CBOE Volatility Index (:VIX), with calls outpacing puts by almost 3 to 1.
The S&P 500 Index has seen 240,000 options trade, with a put to call ratio of 2 to 1. The iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) has 116,000 contracts changing hands, led by 82,000 puts. The PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ) has 96,000, with 54,000 puts. And the iShares Emerging Markets Fund (EEM) has 78,000 options traded, with puts outpacing calls by more than 4 to 1.
