The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (:SPY) has 573,000 options traded, with 324,000 calls. Next up are the S&P 500 Index (:SPX) options at 250,000, with 140,000 puts.
The PowerShares QQQ Trust (:QQQ) has 126,000 contracts changing hands, led by 78,000 puts. The iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) has volume of 119,000, with slightly more puts than calls.
SPDR Gold Fund (GLD) has 87,000 options traded, with 50,000 calls. The CBOE Volatility Index (:VIX) has 59,000 as calls outpace puts by 3 to 1.
