Ratings agency Moody's Investors Service said Wednesday that it has changed its outlook on the U.S. life insurance industry to "Stable" from "Negative."

Moody's said it expects economic growth rates to improve slowly and interest rates to continue to rise in 2014.

The ratings agency expects life insurance companies to see their earnings and revenues stabilize over the next 12 to 18 months.
